With the goal of building an environmental and ecological science talent training base and research center with significant international influence, CEE strives to become a research leader in coastal wetlands and marine ecology, watershed-estuarine and offshore environmental science, coastal zone pollution prevention, control, restoration and management. At the same time, it vigorously develops new emergent disciplines such as water quality safety and security, and environmental and ecological engineering; and provides scientific and talent support for local and national major strategies including the construction of Ecological Civilization Advance Zone and sustainable development.
